At Cambiocromos.com, we take your privacy very seriously. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information, in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and LOPDGDD.

1. Data Controller

2. What data we collect

  • Identification Data: Email, username (nickname), profile picture (avatar).
  • Location Data: Postal code (to facilitate nearby trades), country, and province.
  • Usage Data: Information about your collections, missing/duplicate lists, interactions, and chats.
  • Technical Data: IP address, device type, and browser (for security and analytics purposes).

3. Purpose of processing

We use your data to:

  • Manage your user account and allow access to the platform.
  • Facilitate the matching system to find other nearby collectors.
  • Allow communication between users through the internal chat.
  • Send important notifications about the service (you can disable them).
  • Ensure the security of the platform and prevent fraud.

4. Legitimation

The legal basis for processing your data is the performance of the contract (Terms of Service) you agree to when registering, as well as your explicit consent for certain features (such as approximate location).

5. Recipients and Third Parties

We do not sell your data to third parties. We share information only with service providers strictly necessary for the operation of the app:

  • Supabase: Database and authentication provider.
  • Google Analytics: For anonymous web traffic analysis.
  • OneSignal: For sending push notifications.

6. Data Retention

We will keep your data as long as your account remains active. If you decide to delete your account:

  • Your direct personal data (email, profile) will be deleted or anonymized immediately or after a 30-day grace period to prevent accidental deletions.
  • Database backups are automatically deleted according to our retention cycle (maximum 90 days).

7. Your Rights

As a user, you have the right to:

  • Access your data and know what information we hold.
  • Rectify incorrect or incomplete data from your profile.
  • Erase your data ("Right to be forgotten") through the "Delete Account" option in Settings.
  • Restrict the processing of your data in certain circumstances.
  • Portability: Request a copy of your data in a structured format.
